Hanapepe

Hurricane Alicia was a bust. It dissapeard into the pacific a few thousand miles east and the only effect here was some steady rain this morning. We're staying in a room hanging over the edge of a big muddy river. Out of the rain. Out of the wind. Our new friend Caylin is letting us take a room at her place while we wait for the surf to subside so we can catch a boat to Kalalau. We went to a beach this morning that was nothing but sea glass. There was a landfill at one point, which then aparently became a gaveyard, which is very eerily all over grown now, and some of it has been washed into the ocean. The only thing left is a sea glass beach and heaps of weathered car parts and engine blocks, rusting into red and brown clumps on the jagged volcanic rock. The ocean is brown from all the rain.

I'm having a real hard time uploading my pictures so bare with me. There's far too much to do here other than fuck off on a computer. Peace and Love
